The following list of supplies are what you'll need for the fitting and sewing classes at the Akasha Studio.   Check the details in the class schedule for what each class suggests you bring.

Basic Fitting Supplies

• Glass head pins
• Magnetic pin cushion (optional, nice to have)
• ½” Magic tape (green box)
• Weighted tape dispenser (not required, but makes life easier)
• Palmer-Pletsch gridded pattern paper (available for purchase in class)
• Colored pencils/pens
• Paper scissors
• Sewing tape measure
• 1” wide elastic (to mark your waist)
• Necklace (to mark your neckline for fitting blouses/jackets)
• Clear ruler – about 18” long (not required, but nice to have)
• Slip or camisole (fitting of blouses and skirts is done over undergarments, but not over clothes

Basic Sewing Supplies

• Fabric scissors
• Thread snips
• Hand needles
• Sewing pins (glass head)
• Seam ripper
• Thimble (if you use one)
• Tape measure
• 6” sewing ruler/gauge
• Chalk-o-liner or tailor’s chalk or chalk pencil

Nice to Have Extra Sewing Supplies

• Bamboo point turner
• Tracing wheel & chalk paper
• Push-pull bodkin (for threading elastic through casings)
